Certitude Surveys was created with a vision, not only to provide exceptional engineering surveying services, but also to play a leading role in the Building Information Modelling (BIM) revolution. In order to offer a comprehensive range of BIM services to our clients, Certitude Surveys has partnered with Glentworth Group, one of the leading BIM planning and controls consultants in WA. Read on for an overview of our services, and get in touch to find out how you can obtain a new level of efficiency and quality with the BIM revolution.
Collection of high-accuracy, comprehensive and consistent spatial data of the built environment is an integral part of BIM, which, along with modelling, allows us to produce smart, parametric asbuilt models. These are known as a “digital twin” of the physical space or site. They provide a record of the construction process results which is far more useful than traditional pdf asbuilt drawings. During construction, the model can be used for claims, progress validation, quality assurance and clash avoidance. It is ultimately handed over to the client at the completion of the project, integrating with the asset management systems to obtain much greater efficiency and control throughout the project lifecycle.
The scan to BIM process is conducted as follows;
Effectively managing time on projects with inherent complexity and risk is key to success. We draw upon years of project planning and commercial management experience and expertise to assist our clients. This experience is combined with cutting edge software systems to achieve a new level in efficiency and interoperability. We provide tailored planning and scheduling solutions to support our clients in the creation, management and effective communication of robust programmes.

4D BIM involves time-related information being linked to different components of the Building Information Model. Specific elements of work, including details on procurement, construction and installation period are all part of the 4D Model.
This approach to project controls and scheduling provides unparalleled graphical representations of schedules. Whether it is for Development Schedules, Working Schedules or for Forensic Analysis, 4D Planning allows traditional Gantt charts to be better communicated to all project team members and stakeholders to capture enhanced feedback, achieve greater clarity, reduced project risk and a develop a more robust and commercially secure project plan. In addition, we can carry out high-accuracy spatial data acquisition to support or contest claims and for asbuilt verification.
By adopting best industry practice principles, blended with a wealth of hands on construction experience and technology applications, Certitude Surveys in collaboration with Glentworth support clients with the preparation of, and response to, delay and disruption related claims. Our team of qualified and experienced Planners and Quantity Surveyors provide the necessary technical expertise to professionally handle:
